As we all know, we are living in one of the most exciting and challenging times we’ve ever been in, where technology fueled by data is creating new opportunities to unlock value through speed, control and insight, as well as creating opportunities to completely reimagine business models. Therefore the focus of the session will be around how to successfully transform finance and will be moderated by Tim Wakeford, who prior to joining Workday in November 2017, served as Finance Director on the UK Boards of Cushman & Wakefield, and previously, Willis Towers Watson. Tim has held executive level positions in the finance departments of both private and public sector organisations.
At Cushman and Wakefield, Tim was responsible for the company’s finance transformation, so as a moderator Tim will address some of the reasons behind the decision to undertake a finance transformation journey, as well as his experience of finance transformation in some different CFO roles that he’s had.
Some of the other questions that Tim will be exploring, when it comes to finance transformation, are:
- Do we have the right People with the right skill set?
- Do we challenge our processes and invest enough in automation?
- And ultimately, does Technology truly enable Finance to be disruptive?
